What does it change?

With EUknow.co.uk, the Guide changes its name, has a clearer and more accessible look, with a revamped navigation system, keyword and tag search tools, and an automatic reading function.

Added to this is a dedicated partner page and a new dialogue channel to send feedback, suggestions and questions: to continue building the Guide, together.

EUknow.it also becomes the starting point for new collaborations and new tools, which will aim to make the platform an active tool for in-depth analysis and partner search.

What remains the same?

EUknow.it remains a comprehensive tool for finding your way around the Europe of projects: an information ecosystem offering an operational handbook on European design, up-to-date factsheets on all programs, a calls portal, a glossary, audio and video materials, news and thematic insights, interviews and project stories, and a question-and-answer section designed for the concrete needs of users.

EUknow.it will also continue to be called, on these pages, “the Guide”: a tribute to our history and to the community of partners and users, thanks to which “the Guide” has grown in 10 years of activity.

As always, all content comes from official sources, is free, accessible without registration, updated weekly, disseminated through newsletters and social media, and also available in English, French, and German.

EUknow.it: a new platform for a changing world

The new platform was created to respond to old and new challenges.

Italy continues to experience difficulties in making full use of the opportunities offered by European projects, be they those financed by the Structural Funds – in which the resources used remain limited overall compared to what happens in other countries, or those financed by Community Programs – in which Italy, though present, could do more. This limitation affects the competitiveness of local organisations and conditions the possibility, for many organizations, of accessing opportunities for growth and development, complicit in the lack of structured information, specific skills or established collaborative networks.

EUknow.it was born as a concrete response to a particular and transitional moment, in which Europe and Italy are called to respond to systemic challenges in the international, social, technological, environmental, climate, demographic and citizenship spheres. A time when the debate on the 2028-2034 programming of European funds, which is expected to be full of novelties, in which the PNRR calls will be exhausted and in which, presumably, we will witness an increasing level of competition on European projects.

EUknow.it wants to respond to these challenges by strengthening the design capacity of local realities, skills and tools for networking, in Italy and Europe.

EUknow.co.uk: a story that starts from afar

Born with two print editions in 2006 and 2008, then online since 2015 and renewed in 2021, the Guide to EU Projects and Funding now reaches a new evolution with EUknow.it, the result of the collaboration between Fondazione CRT, ACRI, Fondazione CRC, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Caritro, Fondazione Cariverona, Fondazione CR Firenze, Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Bolzano, Filiera Futura, Fondazione di Sardegna and ASVAPP.

It is a journey of nearly two decades that testifies to a constant investment in strengthening the country’s ability to design in Europe. In ten years of digital activity, the Guide has built a solid national community-more than 100,000 users, more than 16,000 followers, and thousands of pages of content-becoming a daily tool for universities, public administrations, the third sector, and EU projects and funding professionals.

All this heritage now flows into EUknow.it, with a new positioning and an increasing focus on accessibility, usability and user participation.

EUknow.it: the voice of partners and our community

Starting today, with the launch of EUknow.it, we will begin to tell you the stories of those who have experienced and accompanied our common project over the years: our partners and our user community. We dedicate our new platform to them, thanking them for sharing, and for continuing to share with us, this common journey.

We will offer, over the course of the weeks, a series of posts and videos ideally dedicated to each of our users, telling how the Guide, now EUknow.it, plays a significant role in their activities.

We will also propose a narrative of what our partners are accomplishing on local organisations, supporting EUknow.it’s action with a wide variety of complementary tools and projects.

EUknow.it, our reflections: who we are and why we do it

We conclude this introductory article with a collection of reflections from our partners: with whom we invite you to discover EUknow.it and browse its pages.

“Supporting access to European programs means strengthening the growth of local organisations and accompanying them to new development opportunities,” says Anna Maria Poggi, president of Fondazione CRT. With EUknow.it we are providing a concrete and shared tool that enables entities, municipalities and the Third Sector to orient themselves more effectively in the European landscape. It is a piece of our commitment to a Foundation that does not just provide resources, but acts as a strategic ally of the local organisations, fostering skills, networks and capacity for innovation.”

“For Acre,” declares President Giovanni Azzone. EUknow.it is a project of strategic value, both in terms of its objectives and the model on which it is based: it strengthens the Third Sector – which has always been at the heart of the commitment of Foundations of Banking Origin – and broadens its gaze toward the European dimension, which is increasingly relevant to our communities. It is the result of a path started by Fondazione CRT and grown over time thanks to the involvement of many other Foundations, confirming the ability of the Acri system to share knowledge, skills and successful experiences.”

EUknow.it is a choice of method, before being a tool: making Europe more accessible means making local organisations stronger, ” says Bruno Giordano, president of Fondazione Cariverona. Too often, European opportunities remain on paper not because of a lack of ideas, but because of a lack of guidance, capacity and alliances. This is why, as Fondazione Cariverona, we believe in the value of platforms that transform complexity into operability, putting reliable information and useful tools in the hands of entities, municipalities and the Third Sector. Our contribution is measured not only in the resources made available, but in the ability to activate paths of change: to grow professionalism, connect different subjects, open collaborations with national and European partners. EUknow.it goes exactly in this direction: it creates the conditions for local energies to be measured on a European scale and return to communities with new solutions, solid relationships and greater capacity to generate impact.”

“With EUknow.it we offer everyone easier, more intuitive and in-depth access to funding opportunities, European and otherwise, ” comments Mauro Gola, president of Fondazione CRC. Our participation in this pathway – together with Fondazione CRT, ACRI and the other partners – is part of a broader strategy with which Fondazione CRC intends to create a culture of planning consistent with community lines of action and encourage wider participation of local organisations in strategic initiatives for the future of the provincial community.”
