The end of the year is approaching; the days are getting shorter and colder, but there’s certainly no shortage of opportunities in the field of EU projects and funding. Let’s take a look at some of them together while we wait for more clarity on the programs and projects for the next seven-year period!

Upcoming Deadlines for Winter 2020 European Calls for Proposals in the Innovation and Business Sectors.
The deadline for the Horizon 2020 call dedicated to the European “Green Deal” is January 26: as previously mentioned, the call provides for one billion euros in funding across 10 areas: here are the open calls, here is a brochure presenting this important initiative, and here is our previous post, which includes additional information.
Excellent opportunities jn also come from the COSME program, which expires between late January and mid-February:
- A call for support for consortia to launch public procurement on innovative topics (deadline Jan. 19)
- A call aimed at promoting strategic alliances between traditional and technologically advanced SMEs (deadline Feb. 2)
- A call to foster development and collaboration among clusters of excellence, cities and industrial ecosystems in Europe (deadline Feb. 2)
- A call to encourage “digital transformation” and adoption of new technologies by tourism businesses (deadline Feb. 11)
Finally, under the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Fund(EMFF), we highlight a call dedicated to the development of new products, services and processes by companies operating in the “blue economy” sector (deadline Feb. 16).
Winter 2020 European Calls for Proposals: Deadlines in the Fields of Human Rights, Media, and International Cooperation:
- A call dedicated to promoting media freedom and investigative journalism in Europe (deadline Jan. 20)
- A call dedicated to using innovative media and new ICT solutions to promote peace, social cohesion and reconciliation in Turkey, the Middle East and North Africa (deadline Jan. 29)
- A series of calls under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund(AMIF) dedicated to transnational projects of various kinds (deadline Feb. 16) and on various crime-fighting issues (various deadlines between December and April).
European Calls for Proposals, Winter 2020 Interesting calls for proposals focused on information initiatives to promote:
- Objectives, Activities and Outcomes of the EU Cohesion Policy (deadline Jan. 12)
- Objectives, activities and results of the Common Agricultural Policy (due Jan. 21)
