{"id":20679,"date":"2018-07-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-07-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.guidaeuroprogettazione.eu\/the-guide-to-financial-instruments-of-specific-european-programs\/"},"modified":"2025-02-03T13:58:39","modified_gmt":"2025-02-03T13:58:39","slug":"the-guide-to-financial-instruments-of-specific-european-programs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/the-guide-to-financial-instruments-of-specific-european-programs\/","title":{"rendered":"The guide to financial instruments of specific European programs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the first two installments, devoted to <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guide-imprenditoria-sociale\/\">social entrepreneurship<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guide-a-fondi-e-finanziamenti-comunitari\/\">community funding<\/a>, we continue<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> our review of useful publications with a technical paper, which takes up a question frequently asked even by &#8220;insiders&#8221; in the field of europlanning.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is a <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">special report<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eca.europa.eu\/it\/Pages\/ecadefault.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\n  <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">European Court of Auditors<\/span>\n<\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and the question it answers is as follows: <em><strong>how do the financial instruments associated with specific European programs work.<\/strong><strong>?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The topic of financial instruments is of particular relevance to <strong>EU interventions aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises<\/strong>, but not only: there are many directly and indirectly managed European programs that (in addition to providing a grant against the implementation of a project) make use of more complex forms of support, such as <strong>loans<\/strong>, <strong>guarantees<\/strong>, <strong>equity investments<\/strong> and <strong>quasi-equity investments<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The form of the proposed document may appear challenging: not only because of its financial subject matter, but also because its main purpose is to provide <strong>recommendations to managing authorities<\/strong> on the use of financial instruments in the programs they manage.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, the document has some very useful elements to provide a general framework of the subject and to clarify some of its obscure sides: a glossary; a table of contents clarifying the nature of the financial instruments; <strong>several sample schemes<\/strong>; and final annexes with working schemes and overviews of the financial instruments mobilized by country and by fund.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the first two installments, devoted to social entrepreneurship and community funding, we continue our review of useful publications with a technical paper, which takes up a question frequently asked even by &#8220;insiders&#8221; in the field of europlanning.
