The &#8220;<strong>calls portal<\/strong>&#8221; on its web page (i.e., &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">funding &amp; tender opportunities<\/a>&#8220;) is in this a big step forward for those involved in europlanning, gathering in one digital tool most of the information useful to &#8220;insiders&#8221; and &#8220;newbies&#8221; to European planning.<\/p>\n\n<p>Let us try here to summarize some of the main features and functions of this portal:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A call <strong>search engine<\/strong> that allows keyword entry and filtering by status (open\/closed\/coming calls), <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/guida-europrogettazione\/per-orientarsi\/beneficiare-dei-progetti-europei\/\">type<\/a> (call for tenders\/call for proposals), reference <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/guida-europrogettazione\/categorie-di-finanziamento-2014-2020\/programmi-comunitari\/\">program<\/a>, date of publication\/expiration, title and reference code;<\/li>\n<li>News section regarding <strong>European projects<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Short sections explaining the features of calls for tenders and calls for proposals;<\/li>\n<li>A <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/how-to-participate\/how-to-participate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brief guide<\/a> to <strong>participating in European projects <\/strong>organized in 5 steps: find <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/docs\/h2020-funding-guide\/grants\/applying-for-funding\/find-a-call_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a call for<\/a> proposals, <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/docs\/h2020-funding-guide\/grants\/applying-for-funding\/find-partners_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">find a partner<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/docs\/h2020-funding-guide\/user-account-and-roles\/ecas-login_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">create an account<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/docs\/h2020-funding-guide\/grants\/applying-for-funding\/register-an-organisation_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">register your organization<\/a> (for online proposal submission), and finally <a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/research\/participants\/docs\/h2020-funding-guide\/grants\/applying-for-funding\/submit-proposals_en.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submit your proposal<\/a>.
