{"id":21085,"date":"2021-03-11T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2021-03-11T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.guidaeuroprogettazione.eu\/spring-european-calls-for-proposals\/"},"modified":"2026-07-06T11:26:16","modified_gmt":"2026-07-06T12:26:16","slug":"spring-european-calls-for-proposals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/spring-european-calls-for-proposals\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring European calls for proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spring is coming: let&#8217;s find out together about the calls of this period and when those of the new programming period will be released.<\/p>&#13;\n\r\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\r\n&#13;\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">This article is out of date.<\/h3>&#13;\n<h2><strong>European calls for proposals, a period of transition<\/strong><\/h2>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/2014-2020-programming-how-long-does-it-remain-valid-and-when-does-the-new-one-start\/\">As already explained<\/a>, the beginning of a new <strong>programming <\/strong>period is always a <strong>transitional period<\/strong>: new programs may not start immediately, due to the many political and formal steps required for their approval; but there is <strong>still time<\/strong> for calls from the &#8220;old&#8221; programming.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This spring also offers us many interesting opportunities: let&#8217;s find out together the main <strong>open calls<\/strong> and how to keep up to date with the timing of the new programming.<\/p>&#13;\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n&#13;\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>European calls for proposals: environmental sector<\/strong><\/h2>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Remember the <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/opportunities-coming-with-europes-green-deal\/\">European &#8220;Green Deal&#8221;<\/a>? A great opportunity for all actors in the environmental sector and to respond to one of the greatest challenges of this millennium. <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the major <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/guida\/community-programs\/life\/\">LIFE<\/a> calls for proposals\u2014aimed at <strong>environmental NGOs<\/strong> and designed to strengthen civil society\u2019s contribution to the implementation of the \u201cGreen Deal\u201d objectives\u2014is <strong>set to close on March 31<\/strong>: a contribution that has suffered a severe blow due to the economic crisis and the restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.  <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/easme\/en\/section\/life\/life-2020-call-proposals-ngos-european-green-deal-ngo4gd\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the announcement<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/easme\/en\/life-2020-call-proposals-ngos-european-green-deal-ngo4gd-info-session\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here is the material<\/a> from the information session held in mid-January.<\/p>&#13;\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n&#13;\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>European calls for proposals: s<\/strong><strong>social ector<\/strong><\/h2>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two open calls cover two different and important aspects of social development.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first call, part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/guida-europrogettazione\/programmi-comunitari\/easi\/\">EaSI<\/a> program and highly topical, is <strong>due next April 26<\/strong>. It concerns the mitigation of the<strong>economic and social impact of the crisis<\/strong> from Covid-19. It is open to labor and business representative organizations and aims to promote social dialogue and shared solutions among social partners, at national and European levels, around the common goal of overcoming the crisis. Here are all the details and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?catId=629&amp;langId=en&amp;callId=605&amp;furtherCalls=yes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">text of the announcement<\/a>.  <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second announcement, part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/programmi-comunitari\/programma-giustizia\/\">Justice<\/a> program, is <strong>due next April 22<\/strong>. Funds research, training, exchange and networking activities for the benefit of civil society organizations and all actors involved in <strong>combating drug addiction<\/strong>. Here are the details and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/funding-tenders\/opportunities\/portal\/screen\/opportunities\/topic-details\/just-drugs-ag;callCode=JUST-2020-AG-DRUGS;freeTextSearchKeyword=;matchWholeText=true;typeCodes=1;statusCodes=31094501,31094502,31094503;programmePeriod=null;programCcm2Id=null;programDivisionCode=null;focusAreaCode=null;geographicalZonesCode=null;programmeDivisionProspect=null;startDateLte=null;startDateGte=null;crossCuttingPriorityCode=null;cpvCode=null;performanceOfDelivery=null;sortQuery=sortStatus;orderBy=asc;onlyTenders=false;topicListKey=callTopicSearchTableState\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">text of the notice<\/a>.  <\/p>&#13;\n\r\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 20px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\r\n&#13;\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Spring, time for excellence<\/strong><\/h2>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also during this period we point out two important initiatives to recognize and reward European excellence:<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">&#13;\n<li>REGIOSTARS, the annual competition that awards a \u201clabel of European excellence\u201d to EU-funded projects that demonstrate particularly innovative and inclusive approaches to <strong>regional development<\/strong>. It features four award categories (Smart Europe, Green Europe, Fair Europe, and Urban Europe) plus one dedicated to a specific theme\u2014this year, green mobility. Winners will receive dedicated training and visibility during <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/the-european-weeks-agenda-fall-events\/\">European Week<\/a> of Regions and Cities, participate in an awards ceremony in December, receive a prize and a certificate, and have their project featured among <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/regional_policy\/projects\/regio-stars-awards_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DG Regio\u2019s best practices<\/a>. The call for proposals <strong>closes on May 9<\/strong> and requires an \u201cendorsement\u201d from the project\u2019s managing authority. Click here for the <strong>full<\/strong> text of the call for proposals.    <\/li>&#13;\n<li>The Lorenzo Natali Prize, which recognizes <strong>the courage and excellence of journalists<\/strong> covering particularly sensitive issues: inequality, poverty eradication, sustainable development, the environment, biodiversity, climate action, digital issues, labor and employment, education and skills development, migration, healthcare, peace, democracy, and human rights. The award (in addition to being a significant honor in itself) is worth 10,000 euros and is divided into three categories: Grand Prize (report published in one of the EU\u2019s partner countries), Europe Prize (report published within the EU), and Best Emerging Journalist Prize (open to journalists under 30). First, as we have mentioned in the past, through the <a href=\"https:\/\/infobandi.csvnet.it\/bandi-attivi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Infobandi service<\/a> made available by CSVnet (network of Volunteer Service Centers) and also accessible from the <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/\">homepage of our Guide<\/a>. <\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding the calls for new programming, we refer you to our post <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/en\/2014-2020-programming-how-long-does-it-remain-valid-and-when-does-the-new-one-start\/\">dedicated to this topic<\/a>.
