But it is already time for a new update.<\/p>\n\n<p>In fact, some of the most important documents related to another of the European Union&#8217;s &#8220;flagship programs&#8221; have just been published: <strong>Erasmus+, the flagship program in education, training, sports and youth mobility (and more)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p>Again, this is a &#8220;prelaunch,&#8221; contingent on the approval (expected very soon, however) of the regulations that form its legal basis.<\/p>\n\n<p>As always, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.csvnet.it\/component\/content\/article\/144-notizie\/3992-tutte-le-novita-di-erasmus-plus-buone-notizie-anche-per-i-volontari?Itemid=893\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">you can keep up to date on this<\/a> and other major news about <strong>upcoming calls for proposals<\/strong> through CSVnet&#8217;s InfoBandi platform, which has always been associated with our Guide.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Erasmus+: a great history and a great future<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s find out the <strong>main<\/strong> <strong>features<\/strong> together by going over <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/it\/ip_21_1326\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the official announcement<\/a> a few days ago. The program is one of the most successful initiatives of the European Union, which has been accompanying the mobility and cooperation of young people and people of all ages active in learning for decades now.<\/p>\n\n<p>Perhaps not everyone knows that:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Is <strong>more than 30 years old:<\/strong> it was first launched back in 1987<\/li>\n<li>Is considered &#8220;<strong>the third most positive achievement of the EU<\/strong>,&#8221; after free movement and peace<\/li>\n<li><strong>involved more than 10 million people<\/strong> from 33 countries and will affect as many in the next seven years<\/li>\n<li>is <strong>named after one of the greatest humanists of the European Renaissance<\/strong>, but it also originated as an acronym: EuRopean Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>By virtue of this outstanding history and its contribution to the European construction project, it will have a <strong>total funding of 28, 4 billion euros<\/strong>: almost double the amount of the <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/programmi-comunitari\/erasmus\/\">previous programming period<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n<p>It is not only &#8220;school&#8221;: it is also &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/discovereu_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">discovering by traveling<\/a>,&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/sport_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sports<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/promoting-our-european-way-life_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European values<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/new-push-european-democracy_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">democratic participation<\/a> of young people. It is the main <strong>pillar of<\/strong> one of the EU&#8217;s major priorities for the coming years, the realization of the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/education-in-the-eu\/european-education-area_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Education Area<\/a>, and contributes to other major EU policy axes: <strong>inclusion<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/economy-works-people\/jobs-growth-and-investment\/european-pillar-social-rights\/european-pillar-social-rights-20-principles_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(the European Pillar of Social Rights<\/a>), <a href=\"https:\/\/eeas.europa.eu\/topics\/eu-global-strategy_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">collaboration with third countries<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/strategy_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EU Youth Strategy<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/education-in-the-eu\/digital-education-action-plan_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digital Transformation<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/strategy\/priorities-2019-2024\/european-green-deal_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European &#8220;Green Deal.&#8221;<\/a> <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Erasmus+: what we already knew<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>As we already know <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/guida\/per-orientarsi\/prospetto-programmi-europei-2021-2027\/\">for all programs<\/a>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CONSIL:ST_9574_2018_INIT&amp;qid=1533513582401&amp;from=IT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">proposed Erasmus+ regulation<\/a>, the related European Parliament <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/doceo\/document\/TA-8-2019-0324_IT.pdf?redirect\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">resolution<\/a>, all information on the<a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/HIS\/?uri=CELEX:52018PC0367\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">process of the procedure<\/a> and updates on the development of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/legislative-train\/theme-promoting-our-european-way-of-life\/file-mff-erasmus\/02-2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">related debate<\/a> are available. These are documents that already give a basically final picture of the nature of the program (<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/commission\/presscorner\/detail\/it\/ip_20_2317\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">political agreement<\/a> was <a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/programmazione-2021-2027\/\">reached in December<\/a>).  <\/p>\n\n<p>In addition, Erasmus+&#8217;s own multiple information channels<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/node_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(website<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/contact\/national-agencies_it?field_nagencies_country_tid=334\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Agencies<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eacea.ec.europa.eu\/index_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EACEA<\/a>, etc.) regularly provide all the updates and tools needed to participate in the program.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Erasmus+: what we know now<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>Now, with the latest Erasmus+ documents officially released, we know even more: <strong>that is, practically everything<\/strong>. <strong>We have in particular<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/resources\/documents\/2021-annual-work-programme-erasmus-union-programme-education-training-youth-and_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>annual work program of Erasmus+<\/strong><\/a>, which defines the availability of funds for 2021 with details for each individual line and thematic area, the policy and strategic framework, the general objectives and actions of the program, and the specific activities for each of the Erasmus+ actions, with its allocated budget and management arrangements. A similar and separate document is also provided regarding <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/it\/document\/2021-annual-work-programme-for-the-implementation-of-pilot-projects-and-preparatory-actions-in-the-area-of-education-youth-sport-and-culture\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pilot projects and preparatory actions<\/a> in the related areas of education, youth, sports and culture;<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/programme-guide\/introduction_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\n  <strong>Erasmus+ program guide.<\/strong>\n<\/a>, aimed at clarifying for potential beneficiaries (organizations and individuals) all the useful aspects of participating in the program and receiving a grant (further detailed in the specific calls for proposals). The guide is divided into three distinct parts: a general one with information on the <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/it\/programme-guide\/part-a\/priorities-of-the-erasmus-programme\/objectives-features\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">objectives, priorities and main features of<\/a> the Program, participating countries, implementing structures and total available budget; a specific one with information on each individual <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/programme-guide\/part-b_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">type of action and project<\/a> supported by the Program; and one with detailed information on <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/it\/programme-guide\/part-c\/what-to-do-to-submit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">procedures and provisions applicable<\/a> to grant application, project selection and grant initiation. It also provides four annexes with additional information about individual actions, guidance on dissemination aspects, terminology, references and contacts. <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/resources\/documents\/applicants\/forms_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Proposal submission templates<\/a> have also already been published;<\/li>\n<li>The <a href=\"https:\/\/eur-lex.europa.eu\/legal-content\/IT\/TXT\/PDF\/?uri=CELEX:C2021\/103\/11&amp;from=IT\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\n  <strong>call (call for proposals) for 2021<\/strong>\n<\/a>, with all types of actions, deadlines and related financial allocations planned for this year. We can summarize them as follows:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-28f84493 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis: 100%;\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/guidaeuroprogettazione-tabella-erasmus.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4095\" src=\"https:\/\/euknow.it\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/guidaeuroprogettazione-tabella-erasmus.png\" alt=\"Erasmus Table\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1080\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Erasmus+: the main new features<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>The main new features of the new Erasmus+ program are explained in a <a href=\"https:\/\/op.europa.eu\/it\/publication-detail\/-\/publication\/ff1edfdf-8bca-11eb-b85c-01aa75ed71a1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fact sheet<\/a>. We can summarize them as follows:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Overseas mobility initiatives:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>1) <\/strong>Integration of a &#8220;blended approach&#8221; in higher education (online learning + group work + short periods abroad);<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>2) <\/strong>Greater focus on vocational training (doubled allocation for &#8220;ErasmusPro&#8221;);<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> Integration of the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/discovereu_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">DiscoverEU<\/a>&#8221; initiative (for discovery &#8211; by train &#8211; of European cultures, among other actions for youth participation);<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Cooperative initiatives:<\/strong> <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> openness to a range of parternships at once broader (small-scale partnerships with simplified procedures), deeper and more innovative (large-scale pilot projects);<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>2)<\/strong> greater development of old and new forms of &#8220;systemic&#8221; partnerships<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/education\/education-in-the-eu\/european-education-area\/european-universities-initiative_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(European universities<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/social\/main.jsp?catId=1501&amp;langId=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Centers of Professional Excellence<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu\/programme-guide\/part-b\/key-action-2\/erasmus-teacher-academies\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Erasmus Teacher Academies<\/a>, opening of the<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/opportunities\/jean-monnet_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jean Monnet Initiative<\/a> to schools and institutes, strategic role of sports);<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>3)<\/strong> greater openness to the non-EU world in all areas (e.g., <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/opportunities\/individuals\/students\/erasmus-mundus-joint-master-degrees_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Erasmus Mundus<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/eacea.ec.europa.eu\/erasmus-plus\/actions\/key-action-3-support-for-policy-reforms\/european-youth-together_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Youth Together<\/a>);<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Confirmation of the extensive support provided to beneficiaries:<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p><strong>1)<\/strong> through the official channels of the institutions in charge of program management<a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/node_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">(Erasmus+ href=\"https:\/\/school-education.ec.europa.eu\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">School Education Gateway<\/a> for those working in education, <a href=\"https:\/\/epale.ec.europa.eu\/it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EPALE<\/a> for adult education professionals, <a href=\"https:\/\/europa.eu\/youth\/home_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">European Youth Portal<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youthpass.eu\/it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Youthpass<\/a> for young people and youth organizations, <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/programmes\/erasmus-plus\/resources\/online-linguistic-support_it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">OLS<\/a> for online language support, even an <a class=\"wp-block-spacer\" style=\"height: 50px;\" aria-hidden=\"true\">\u00a0<\/div>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Best wishes to all for the launch of Erasmus+.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p>While waiting for the final formal touches, we really already have everything we need to <strong>plan<\/strong> our <strong>activity<\/strong> on
