Our fellow travelers: the experience of Ada Fama, European planner for third sector organizations and public bodies

The Guide: an agile operational support for European design
EUknow.it is a valuable resource both for those who want to build their first foundations in European design and for those who have been working in the field for longer. If you reflect yourself in any of these profiles, let’s try to explore: here are some reasons why the Guide is the tool for you.
- EUknow.co.uk walks you through European project planning starting with the basics. The Guide offers resources to independently acquire the basics of writing your first European projects. The Handbook is designed to guide you on the “what” and “how” of planning, with an initial overview of funds and programs and the organization of EU institutions, treaties, and EU policies, and then moves on to the method for working on projects to turn theoretical foundations into operational skills. The audio and video section includes a wide selection of multimedia materials to continuously enrich one’s knowledge.
- The Guide helps you quickly find key information on European funds and programs. Dedicated program factsheets provide a clear and concise description of each program, from EU programs to structural and regional funds, with links to official EU documents and regulations, while the Glossary allows you to find definitions of European design terms.
- EUknow.it supports you in answering questions about the operational aspects of the project process. The Guide is a ready-to-use tool for answering technical and operational questions regarding European projects, from the simplest to the most complex. In addition to the Handbook, EUknow.co.uk provides an up-to-date list of questions and answers on many aspects of European project design, accompanied by in-depth articles: from the right questions for drafting a good European project, to how to manage partnerships in projects, from how projects are evaluated to how the European budget is defined. For questions not included in the list, you can send a question directly to the Guide for feedback.
- Knowing what’s current in European design is key to developing current and impactful projects. The in-depth section of the Guide allows you to keep up to date with news and trends in European design. Browsing independently, you can find in-depth coverage of topics closely related to European policies and projects in the News section, while free resources for continuing design training, such as European Commission webinars, are shared in Guides and Tools. Many articles recount trends in European design and give updates on specific sectors, such as agrifood and environmental sustainability, or on the use of innovative methodologies, such as civic monitoring.
- So that you don’ t miss any of the European opportunities, EUknow.co.uk provides the calls portal, which is updated monthly, while the Q&A section features articles devoted to strategies for searching and finding calls and why there is no such thing as the “perfect call.”
- Finally, EUknow.it is an open and inclusive tool: our platform has always adopted the best solutions to make its content as accessible as possible, through the services provided by Accessiway. The content is usable through various accessibility profiles, helping people with visual and cognitive difficulties and disabilities, and includes a read aloud function.
