Territorial cooperation programs include:
- 5 strategic priorities or objectives (PO, Policy Objectives): 1. A smarter/more competitive Europe, 2. A greener/more resilient/low-emission Europe, 3. A more connected Europe, 4. A more social Europe, 5. A Europe closer to its citizens, in addition to funding for technical assistance for the programs. They are identified by an Arabic numeral (1 through 5);
- more than 40 specific objectives, which are a declination of the strategic objectives and are normally denoted by a Roman numeral (i, ii, iii, etc.);
- 182 focus areas, each of which can be associated with any one strategic and specific objective. They are numbered with a consecutive code (001 to 182).
“TA” indicates technical assistance objectives and activities.
There is also a common framework of indicators, the elements of which are taken up within the planning documents (RCO codes for Output indicators, RCR for Result indicators).
